We are delighted to announce the appointments of four new members to the George Square Financial Management team in a move to support the firm’s ongoing growth and development plans.
Dick Durrant joins us as an Independent Financial Adviser, Harry Goward as a Trainee Financial Adviser, Clive Hunter as an Administrator and Sam Carnelley as a Secretary, all based at our city centre office on George Street.
Independent Financial Adviser Dick Durrant joins George Square from Zurich, where he was a Senior Sales Consultant. Dick has more than 34 years’ experience in the financial services sector, having worked for Scottish Life, Friends Provident and Berry Birch and Noble Financial Planning. At George Square, he will assist clients with investment decisions, pension arrangements, retirement planning and inheritance tax planning solutions.
Commenting on his appointment, Dick said: “I have dealt with George Square wearing my product provider hat for a long time and I trust the firm wholeheartedly to match my ambitions and to treat clients fairly and honestly, which is very important to me.
“I will bring an organised, hardworking mentality to my new role, as well as the ability to engage on a personal level with clients to help simplify their affairs into understandable terms.”
Trainee Financial Adviser Harry joins the team on a two-year course with Next Gen planners, and Clive and Sam will support the advisers with handling the rise in client instructions.
Managing Director, George Goward, said: “It is an exciting time for the business as we embark on a period of significant growth and development.
“I am delighted to welcome our four new talented and friendly recruits to the team to support this growth and, most importantly, add value to our clients and the service that we offer.”
We look forward to introducing you to our newest team members.
